The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is the nation’s leading organization representing people with hearing loss.

The Sertoma Speech & Hearing Foundation of Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides hearing related services across the state of Florida. The mission: help people of all ages regardless of financial status to receive the hearing help they deserve. Hearing screenings are conducted at daycare centers, schools and community centers. Hearing aids are available at significantly reduced rates.

Living With Hearing Loss – Blogger Shari Eberts is an active hearing health advocate and writes frequently on her blog and elsewhere. In 2015 she was named a HearStrong Champion for her work to change the stigma surrounding hearing loss. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Hearing Loss Association of America and was the Board Chair of Hearing Health Foundation from 2012-2015.

www.centerforhearingaccess.org  Founded in 2024, the nonprofit Center for Hearing Access is a national advocacy and education initiative of The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts in Eugene, OR. The organization’s mission is to “champion and educate users, hearing instrument specialists, and audiologists about all of the ADA-compliant assistive listening systems as well as other strategies to increase access to theaters, libraries, conferences, government offices, courtrooms, places of worship, and other public and private spaces.” Expect to find advocacy materials, ADA information, a speaker’s bureau, videos, templates for users and owners/operators, articles, and vendor lists.
